does Bakker's prose competence gone up in Consult? for the life of me I can totally follow the philosophical speculation because I'm familiar with the same sources the author is, but have no idea what's supposed to be happening when people are fighting a dragon or talking about their childhoods or whatever

…not sure what to say about that.  I never had a problem with the prose.
